CLAREMORE, Okla. — Police arrested an armed robbery suspect in Claremore on Wednesday.

FOX23 reported earlier this month when police said a man pulled a gun at the Quick Mart convenience store and got away with cash.

The store is right across the street from the police station. Officers shared a photo of a white car in which the robber left.

Police said officers and community members helped figure out to whom the car belonged. Officers served a warrant on Joshua Jones on Wednesday.

Court papers state they found the same mask and gun used during the robbery inside the home where they arrest Jones. They also found texts on his phone saying he committed the robbery, “cleaned” the money and recruited someone to serve as an alibi.

Police said Jones later admitted to the robbery. He’s charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon.
