City of McAlester approves new mask ordinance

MCALESTER, Okla. — A new mask ordinance was approved by the McAlester City Council on Tuesday night.

With the old ordinance set to expire on Nov. 30, city leaders gathered to talk about a new ordinance with an emergency clause.

City leaders did vote to pass the ordinance at the end of the meeting but not to pass the emergency clause.

This means the ordinance will go into effect in 30 days.
