Skeletal remains found near north Tulsa McDonald’s, police investigating

TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Police Department (TPD) is investigating after skeletal remains were found behind the McDonald’s on Admiral and Memorial.

According to police at the scene, the body was found shortly after 7 p.m. The person who reported it is not under suspicion at this time.

Police confirmed the remains are of a man’s body. There was no ID on the body.

The body was concealed by undergrowth, so it was hard to see from even a few feet away, according to police. Investigators believe the body had been in this area for several months.

Police say this area sees a lot of homeless people, and they believe the remains could have been a homeless person.

The Medical Examiner will continue the investigation to determine the man’s identity and the cause of death. Tulsa police detectives will initiate an investigation if the cause of death is determined to be a homicide.
