TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa Public Schools begin a new school year on August 19. While the district plans to have in-person classes for the year, they have reopened the transfer window for their virtual academy.
The academy is an option for children with specific health conditions or family members concerned about exposure to the virus.
The window to transfer to virtual learning is open from August 6 to August 13.
There are limited spots for students at each grade level. The academy will prioritize students with medical needs, students living with family members with medical needs, and students whose families prefer a virtual option.
Those who choose to attend school virtually must commit to the decision for at least a semester.
