Claremore Public Schools share COVID-19 protocols for new school year

CLAREMORE, Okla. — Claremore Public Schools will begin a new school year on Thursday, August 12. As we inch closer to the new year, the district is releasing their COVID-19 protocols.

Superintendent Bryant Frazier says he only had to close two schools for two weeks last year because of the virus. They cannot mandate masks because of state law, but they are recommending and highly encouraging students to wear masks this school year.

The district is focusing on recommendations from the state department of health, including social distancing when they can, washing hands, enhanced cleaning, and contract tracing.

Nearly 65% of the district’s faculty is vaccinated.
