Catoosa Public Schools begin new academic year

CATOOSA, Okla. — Catoosa Public Schools begin a new academic year today.

The district is offering three options for students, including traditional in-person learning, virtual learning, and blended learning for both middle and high school students.

Staff members and students are strongly encouraged to wear masks. However, Oklahoma Senate Bill 658 prohibits school districts from mandating masks.

Catoosa is also focusing on social distancing, hand washing, and enhanced cleaning.

Masks, face shields, disinfecting wipes, and hand sanitizer will be provided to anyone who asks for it.

If a student is diagnosed with the virus, school administrators and nurses are trained to contract trace.
