Mid-Del School District, which is located just outside of Oklahoma City, said in a statement after the end of the Del City High School boy’s basketball game vs Millwood High School, a fight broke out and shots were fired inside the John Smith Fieldhouse.

Authorities said more than 500 people were at the game when shots were fired. The moments the gunshots rang out were captured on the visiting team’s broadcast, and police already at the scene for the game evacuated the area.

A man was taken to the hospital for treatment, police said. No arrests have been made.

The school district said they will also make Wednesday a virtual learning day.
