TULSA, Okla. — A recently opened food truck in north Tulsa is getting a permanent home.
In the summer of 2018, 26-year-old Roy Tillis opened his Waffle That food truck after he says he saw a void in the local market for chicken and waffles.
After a little over a year in business, the food truck is moving to a permanent home off MLK Jr. Boulevard and Virgin Street.
Tillis told FOX23 Reporter Amber Hughes it was important to establish his business in north Tulsa because of the work the community did to build his brand.
The restaurant is expected to have an expanded brunch menu. The food truck will continue to run three times a week.
