OHP, Mannford crews work deadly traffic accident
Oklahoma Highway Patrol along with Mannford emergency response crews and police worked a deadly accident Thursday on Highway 48.

TULSA, Okla. — Oklahoma Highway Patrol along with Mannford emergency response crews and police worked a deadly traffic accident Thursday on Highway 48 near West 31st Street South.

Troopers confirmed to FOX23 that a 9-year-old girl died in the crash that happened just after 5 p.m.

Troopers say that a pickup truck ran into the back of a 1992 Honda traveling northbound on Hwy 48 in Mannford.

OHP says that the Honda driver slowed down, the vehicle behind swerved and a third vehicle couldn’t stop.

Troopers say that the 32-year-old driver of the Honda, Holle Blackbourn, was life-flighted and an 11-year-old boy was treated and released.


No other injuries were reported.
