Patrick Chung, safety for the New England Patriots, has been indicted in New Hampshire on a charge of cocaine possession, according to reports.
The Associated Press reported that court documents show the charge. Chung was indicted by a grand jury Aug. 8.
Authorities say Chung knowingly had cocaine in his possession "on or about June 25" while in Meredith, New Hampshire.
According to The Laconia Daily Sun, the indictment comes after a drug raid. Chung is among more than 35 people who have been indicted on drug-related charges stemming from the raid.
"We are aware of the reports regarding Patrick Chung," the team said in a statement Thursday. "We will not be commenting while his judicial proceedings take place."
