Julia Gorman joined the FOX23 team as a multimedia journalist in February 2021. She films, writes and edits her stories from start to finish!
Julia comes to Tulsa all the way from Binghamton, New York where she worked as a producer, reporter and anchor for almost three years.
She attended the University of Connecticut where she earned degrees in Journalism, Communications and a minor in Spanish. Connecticut is home for Julia and she loved growing up on the Long Island Sound.
So, how did this CT girl end up half way across the U.S.? She was looking to experience a different part of the country, and Tulsa stood out as an exciting and energetic place to choose for this adventure.
Julia pursued journalism to make a difference. She loves working on stories that educate the community and shine light on issues that impact people’s everyday lives. A few examples include investigating the lack of volunteer firefighters in NY and how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the elderly population.
While Julia may be new to Oklahoma, she’s already loving the people, the food and the energy. Don’t hesitate to reach out to Julia with a problem, idea or question, just email firstname.lastname@example.org or message her on Facebook by searching @FOX23JuliaGorman!
After Cancer Treatment Centers of America Tulsa announced it would be closing its doors in June 2021, FOX23 investigated what forced the closure and its impact on vulnerable, cancer-stricken community.
