An award-winning news anchor and veteran reporter, Clay Loney came to FOX23 News at the end of 2004, bringing a wealth of experience to the Tulsa market. Clay specializes in unscripted live coverage of breaking news and helps provide editorial leadership for a team of reporters. With some 30 years in television news, Clay has provided political coverage from Washington D.C. for stations nationwide, served as Capitol Bureau Chief for the CBS Florida Network and covered the military for years. A graduate of the University of Texas in Austin with a Bachelor of Journalism degree, Clay's work has earned him a prestigious Edward R. Murrow award for News Writing, an Associated Press award for Individual Achievement, an Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters award for best Investigative Reporting and multiple Emmy awards—from Live Breaking News Coverage to Editorials. Clay says he's most proud of being a dad. He's also passionate about photography, hiking, riding his big motorcycle across Oklahoma and around the country—and sharing those adventures with viewers when he gets back home!
