Amanda Gilbert is excited to work for Fox23 as a multi-media journalist. She joined the team in October 2019.
Amanda was born and raised in Chicago. She studied broadcast journalism at Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism. She was a news director, producer and reporter for the campus television station, “The Northwestern News Network.” Go cats!
She started her career at KWWL, the NBC affiliate in eastern Iowa. Amanda worked there for four years, and she was part of several Emmy award-winning newscasts. While there, she was promoted to weekend morning anchor. She won’t forget the friendly people who inspired her passion for storytelling.
Amanda looks forward to sharing your stories and to getting her first taste of warmer winters! Outside of work, Amanda is passionate about hiking, dance, recycling and animals! Please reach out if you’d like to say hello or have a story idea! Her email is firstname.lastname@example.org.
Fundraisers have started to help the families of the Sand Springs teenagers who were killed and injured in a car crash last week. A Sand Springs woman is partnering with a local boutique to make t-shirts that will benefit the families of the teens.
