Green Bay, WI (Sports Network) - Minnesota Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder will be inactive for Saturday's NFC Wild Card matchup with the Green Bay Packers due to an elbow injury.

Ponder suffered the injury in last Sunday's 37-34 win over the Packers. The second-year signal caller tested his arm in pregame warmups, but left the field with a Vikings trainer and was declared inactive soon after.

Joe Webb will start in place of Ponder. Webb is 1-1 as a starter in his career, but has yet to attempt a pass this season for Minnesota.

McLeod Bethel-Thompson will serve as Webb's backup.
