Utah's Williams to undergo surgery

Salt Lake City, UT (Sports Network) - After undergoing a second MRI, Utah Jazz guard Mo Williams will have surgery on his injured right thumb.

Williams has missed the last four games after injuring his thumb against Miami on Dec. 22. He is expected to miss at least the next six weeks following the surgery, which is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 4th.

In 24 games this season, Williams has averaged 12.9 points, 6.7 assists and 2.0 rebounds per contest.
