Tulsa junior quarterback Kalen Henderson has announced his decision to leave the Golden Hurricane football program. He plans to transfer to another university. A TU source tells FOX23 that university is Nicholls State. The source said Henderson liked it at TU but wanted more playing time.
Henderson played in 11 career games and threw for 416 yards and four interceptions in his two seasons at Tulsa. He came to TU from East St. John High School in Mount Airy, Louisiana and redshirted during the 2012 season.
Henderson was one of three scholarship quarterbacks listed on the post-spring depth chart behind starter Cody Green.
