Bob Stoops is one of the most recognizable people in Oklahoma, but the OU head football coach deserves recognition for trying not to be recognized.

Stoops volunteered to help with the Moore tornado relief efforts Sunday. OU senior associate athletics director Kenny Mossman tweeted out the picture attached to this story Tuesday. Look closely in the bottom, left-hand corner. That's Bob Stoops with gloves on, helping move debris. In the tweet, Mossman said it took about 30 minutes for the people to recognize the famous coach. Stoops didn't alert the media. According to Mossman, Stoops didn't even tell his own athletic department he was going. He just showed up to help. And get this: Mossman told me, it's not the first time coach Stoops has shown up unannounced to help.

Bob Stoops might be from Ohio, but he's got that Oklahoma spirit down.
