STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) - Big 12 Conference basketball coaches have named Oklahoma State sophomore Marcus Smart as the conference's preseason Player of the Year.

Every Big 12 coach except OSU's Travis Ford selected Smart for the preseason honor. Coaches are not allowed to vote for their own players.

Joining Smart on the preseason All-Big 12 team is his Cowboy teammate - Markel Brown. Also voted onto the preseason team are Isaiah Austin of Baylor, Cory Jefferson of Baylor, Melvin Ejim of Iowa State and Andrew Wiggins of Kansas.

OSU's Michael Cobbins and Le'Bryan Nash are honorable mention selections to the preseason team.
