ORU basketball player Steven Roundtree went to jail after he was arrested Sunday. He was accused of trying to strangle his pregnant girlfriend.

The 22-year-old was arrested on domestic strangulation, domestic abuse, unauthorized use of a vehicle, and obstruction of justice complaints.

According to the police report, there were visible injuries to the woman's face. FOX23's Sharon Phillips confirmed that when she talked to the victim off camera Monday.

Roundtree is facing a total bond of $34,020.

Roundtree played in 23 games for ORU this past season, his junior year. He averaged 9.8 points and 6.4 rebounds.

ORU says Roundtree has been suspended from the team for the last four weeks because of rules violations. He was also suspended for two games during the season.

Oral Roberts is not commenting on Roundtree's status with the school right now, but his name has been taken off the roster on the team's official website.
