Kinne and Carter Lead Hurricane Over Rice

HOUSTON (AP) - G.J. Kinne threw for 318 yards and three touchdowns to lead Tulsa to a 38-20 win over Rice on Saturday night.

Kinne was 21 of 34 as the Golden Hurricane (4-3, 3-0 Conference USA) won their third straight game. Willie Carter had nine catches for 160 yards and a touchdown.

Nick Fanuzzi was 20 of 37 passing for 234 yards and a TD for Rice (2-5, 1-3). Tulsa led 24-10 at halftime.

Trey Watts had 18 carries for 68 yards and a touchdown for Tulsa, who compiled 473 yards of offense.  Luke Willson had seven catches for 104 yards and a touchdown, and Tyler Smith carried 15 times for 66 yards for the Owls, who committed four turnovers.
