There's no doubt Louis CK is one of the most successful, if not
the most successful, stand-up comedians in the country right now. I'm a fan myself. I'm sure that makes him happy. So it was a treat to watch him perform at the Brady Theater Thursday night.
As was expected, Louis was hilarious. The show was sold out, and the crowd was laughing hard throughout. Everyone even seemed to enjoy his not necessarily flattering but not mean spirited thoughts on Tulsa too. I recorded that part of the show with my point and shoot camera. Here's the link to the video:

First of all, it's amazing what kind of high-quality HD video you can get with a point and shoot camera nowadays, isn't it?! Secondly, I enjoyed Louis' thoughts. It's an old comedy trick to work some local material into a set, but it's old for a reason. It works. People love it when a famous national comedian knows something, anything, about their town. The crowd at the Brady definitely loved it.
Anyway, I took some other videos, but I don't think my bosses would like me posting them here. Profanity is not unknown to Louis CK. It's definitely an adult show but was very funny and well worth the $45.
One last thing. The crowd got an added treat last night. Louis CK's opening act was Todd Berry, himself a very successful and nationally known stand-up comedian. I was definitely surprised to see him walk out on stage, and
he even made the joke he's too famous to open for Louis CK.
A funny night in Tulsa at the Brady Theater. Definitely worth taking the night off work.
