A misdemeanor assault and battery charge against OSU football player Christian Littlehead was dismissed Wednesday at the request of the state, and his court costs were waived.
Littlehead was accused of punching a woman in the face at a party in March. The charges were filed in cherokee county last week.
Littlehead is a sophomore defensive tackle. He played in 12 games for the Cowboys last season, starting four of them. He finished the season with 16 tackles and a sack.
Littlehead has had other run-ins with the law. He was arrested on a public intoxication complaint in May. In December, he was charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He pleaded guilty to that and is serving probation.
