Tampa, FL (Sports Network) - Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie running back Doug Martin was named to the Pro Bowl Sunday as a replacement for San Francisco's Frank Gore.

Gore had to replaced after the 49ers defeated the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC Championship game to advance to the Super Bowl.

The 30th-overall pick started all 16 games for the Buccaneers this season and accumulated 1,454 yards and 11 touchdowns on 319 rushes.

He also added 472 yards and a score on 49 receptions.

His 251 rushing yards in Week 9 against the Oakland Raiders set a franchise record. He also scored four touchdowns in the game, which tied a franchise mark.

Martin is the fourth Tampa Bay running back to be selected to the Pro Bowl, joining Mike Alstott (1997-2002), Warrick Dunn (1997, 2000) and James Wilder (1984).

Clifton Smith is the only other Bucs' rookie to be named to the Pro Bowl. He was selected as a kick returner in 2008.
