El Segundo, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Los Angeles Lakers guard Jordan Farmar will be out approximately four weeks with a tear of his left hamstring.
Farmar suffered the injury in the first quarter of Sunday's game against the Portland Trail Blazers. He had an ultrasound test on Monday.
In 18 games this season, Farmar is averaging 9.2 points, 4.4 assists and 2.9 rebounds.
The Lakers also announced that forward/center Pau Gasol had an MRI exam Monday, which confirmed he has a mild sprain of his right ankle.
In 18 games this season, Gasol is averaging 14.3 points, 9.9 rebounds and 1.3 blocks.
