New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - The New York Knicks are expected to be without forwards Amare Stoudemire and Kenyon Martin for the next two weeks with both players dealing with left ankle injuries.
Stoudemire and Martin both underwent MRIs on Friday to see the extent of their respective injuries. Stoudemire was diagnosed with a sprain and a bone bruise, while Martin was diagnosed with a sprain and tendinitis.
Through 33 games this season, Stoudemire is averaging 9.6 points and 4.3 rebounds per contest.
Martin has appeared in 30 games with 15 starts this season and is averaging 4.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game.
