New Orleans, LA (Sports Network) - The New Orleans Hornets exercised the fourth-year option on the contract of guard Greivis Vasquez on Monday.
Per club policy, no terms were disclosed.
The second-year pro out of Maryland posted averages of 8.9 points, 5.4 assists and 2.6 rebounds per game over 66 contests for the Hornets a season ago.
Originally selected by Memphis in the first round of the 2010 draft, Vasquez has totaled 6.2 points, 3.8 assists and 1.8 boards per game in 136 NBA appearances.
