Houston, TX (Sports Network) - The Houston Astros made a pair of roster moves on Monday, optioning infielder Marwin Gonzalez to Triple-A Oklahoma City and designating pitcher Wade LeBlanc for assignment.

Gonzalez has started 46 of the Astros' 77 games at shortstop this season, but is batting just .191 since May 1. For the year, the switch-hitter has posted a .230 average with four home runs, 14 RBI and five stolen bases.

LeBlanc pitched three games in relief for Houston after being claimed off waivers from Miami on June 8, allowing five runs (four earned) over 3 2/3 innings. The left-hander was cut loose by the Marlins following a 1-5 start to the season in which he recorded a 5.18 earned run average over 13 appearances (7 starts) and allowed six home runs over 48 2/3 innings.

The 28-year-old owns a 20-32 career record with a 4.52 ERA over 95 major league games (68 starts) with the Astros, Marlins and San Diego Padres.

Houston will add two players to its active roster prior to Tuesday's start of a two-game series with St. Louis.
