Red Sox give Breslow two-year deal

Boston, MA (Sports Network) - The Boston Red Sox signed left-handed pitcher Craig Breslow to a two-year contract on Thursday.

The deal includes a club option for 2015.

Breslow was acquired by Boston from Arizona at the trade deadline in 2012 and went 1-0 with a 2.70 ERA in 23 games for the Red Sox. In 63 combined appearances last season, Breslow went 3-0 with a 2.70 ERA.

The 32-year-old Breslow has a 15-17 record with a 3.00 ERA in 358 career games with the Padres (2005), Red Sox (2006, 2012), Indians (2008), Twins (2008-09), Athletics (2009-11), and Diamondbacks (2012). For his Red Sox career, he is 1-2 with a 3.09 ERA in 36 appearances.
