Baltimore, MD (Sports Network) - The Baltimore Orioles named Dave Wallace pitching coach on Tuesday.

Wallace replaces Rick Adair, who left the club for personal reasons back in August. The 66-year-old was chosen over former Phillies pitching coach Rich Dubee, Mariners pitching coach Carl Willis and Texas bullpen coach Andy Hawkins.

He joins the Orioles after spending the last four seasons with the Atlanta Braves as minor league pitching coordinator. Prior to that, the Connecticut native spent two years as special assistant to the general manager in Seattle.

Wallace also served as pitching coach for the Dodgers (1995-97), Mets (1999-2000), Red Sox (2003-06) and Astros (2007).
