Baltimore, MD (Sports Network) - The Baltimore Orioles and right-hander Tommy Hunter agreed to terms on a one-year contract Monday, avoiding arbitration.

Hunter went 7-8 with a 5.45 earned-run average in 133 2/3 innings over 33 games (20 starts) for the Orioles in 2012.

The 26-year-old holds a 33-24 record with a 4.77 ERA in 98 appearances over five major-league seasons for Texas and Baltimore.

With the signing, the Orioles have seven players remaining who are arbitration eligible.
