- Former Oklahoma State Cowboys All-American wrestler Kyle Crutchmer moved to California on Sunday to become an MMA fighter
Crutchmer, who graduated from Union High School, has an opportunity to train at AKA gym in San Jose, CA, thanks for former OSU wrestler turned MMA champ Daniel “DC” Cormier
Although he is not a professional MMA fighter yet, Crutchmer has signed with an agent
After earning a scholarship to wrestle for Oklahoma State, Crutchmer nearly lost his spot on the team and could have gone to jail after an altercation on the road where he punched a man’s car and said he would kill the man, who he knew, if he got out of the car. Crutchmer received two misdemeanors and was made to serve a year and a half of community service
At Oklahoma State, Crutchmer was a Big 12 champion twice, earned All-American honors twice and was ranked #1 in the nation at his weight class for part of his junior season
