Florida remains atop the latest Bowl Championship Series standings, but there was a flip-flop between the No. 2 and No. 3 teams with Texas now holding onto the second position, followed by Alabama and Iowa.

The Cincinnati Bearcats (8-0) jumped three spots to fifth following a 28-7 win at Syracuse on Saturday. The Bearcats host Connecticut this week.

The Gators (8-0), coming off a 41-17 victory over Georgia, had a BCS average of .9918. Florida hosts Vanderbilt this Saturday.

The Longhorns (8-0) dismantled Oklahoma State, 41-14, Saturday night to move up a spot with an average of .9227, with that number being computed by averaging the percentage totals of the Harris Interactive poll, USA Today poll and computer rankings.

Texas climbed over Alabama (8-0), which was idle Saturday. The Crimson Tide have a giant test this Saturday when they play LSU (7-1), which is ninth in the BCS.

It seems as if the Longhorns are in control of their destiny to reach the national championship game, as Florida and Alabama remain on a collision course to play each other in the Southeastern Conference title game.

Iowa (9-0) rallied for a 42-24 win over Indiana on Saturday to keep its fourth spot in the BCS. The Hawkeyes have a home game Saturday against Northwestern.

TCU (8-0) remained sixth in the BCS, while Boise State (8-0) also kept its position at No. 7. Oregon (7-1), LSU and Georgia Tech (8-1) finish the top 10.

The biggest drop came from Southern California (6-2), which fell seven slots to 12th following a 47-20 loss at Oregon. The Trojans are right behind Penn State (8-1).
