Recap: Ball State vs. Eastern Mich

Muncie, IN (SportsNetwork.com) - Raven Lee poured in 24 points to lift the Eastern Michigan Eagles to a 73-62 decision over the Ball State Cardinals in a Mid-American Conference tilt at Worthen Arena.

Mike Talley scored 13 points and dealt out four assists for EMU (14-10, 6-5 MAC) as it picked up its second consecutive win. Daylen Harrison added 10 points while Da'Shonte Riley made his mark on the defensive end of the court with six blocked shots and three steals.

For the Cardinals (4-18, 1-10), Jesse Berry sank 5-of-10 attempts from 3-point range en route to a team-high 17 points. Zavier Turner tallied 15 points and eight assists while Chris Bond contributed 12 points and nine boards. Kindon Crowder provided a spark off the bench with 10 points in 16 minutes. Majok Majok also corralled nine rebounds, but committed seven of Ball State's 21 turnovers.

The Eagles took control of the game late in the opening period with a 10-2 run that gave them an eight-point lead on the scoreboard. Bond made a layup as time expired in the first half to cut the deficit to 35-29. EMU converted 10- of-12 attempts at the charity stripe while the Cardinals failed to register any shots at the free-throw line before the intermission.

BSU was limited to 39.1 percent efficiency from the floor in the second period, but prevented the visitors from pulling away by hitting on 7-of-13 tries from behind the 3-point line. The Eagles still managed to extend their halftime lead as they connected on 55 percent of their field goal attempts and also drained 15-of-20 shots at the charity stripe.

EMU scored 24 of its points off of turnovers as the Cardinals endured their sixth loss in a row.
