Recap: Arkansas vs. Georgia

Fayetteville, AR (SportsNetwork.com) - Coty Clarke poured in 23 points to propel the Arkansas Razorbacks to an 87-75 decision over the Georgia Bulldogs in a Southeastern Conference tilt at Bud Walton Arena.

Michael Qualls added 20 points on 7-of-9 shooting from the floor to help the Razorbacks (20-9, 9-7 SEC) pick up their fifth win in a row.

Kenny Gaines paced Georgia (16-12, 10-6) by scoring 18 of his game-high 25 points from 3-point range. Marcus Thornton chipped in 13 points, Brandon Morris had 11 points and Nemanja Djurisic scored 10 points. Morris and Charles Mann accounted for 13 of the Bulldogs' 16 turnovers.

Both sides played well on the offensive end in the opening period. Arkansas knocked down 58.3 percent of its field goal attempts while allowing the Bulldogs to make good on 60.9 percent of their shots from the floor. The Razorbacks took a 44-37 lead into the intermission after they drained 6-of-11 tries from 3-point range in the first half.

Although Georgia converted 20-of-25 free-throw attempts in the second stanza, it was limited to just 28.6 percent efficiency from the field. Due to the offensive woes of the visitors, the Razorbacks did not relinquish their lead at any point over the final 20 minutes of the contest.

Despite the loss, Georgia enjoyed a 39-28 edge in the rebounding battle. Arkansas swiped nine steals and scored 19 points off turnovers.
