Recap: Princeton vs. Cornell

Princeton, NJ (Sports Network) - Denton Coon and Ian Hummer each scored 22 points as the Princeton Tigers took care of the Cornell Big Red, 76-59, in an Ivy League skirmish at Jadwin Gymnasium.

Hummer was also a rebound shy of a double-double and Will Barrett added 14 points for Princeton (9-7, 2-0 Ivy League) which has won four straight games.

Josh Figini had 13 points off the bench and Shonn Miller recorded 12 more for Cornell (9-11, 1-2) which had won three of its previous four games.

Princeton shot 44 percent from the field in the first half which was behind the 46.7 percent rate that Cornell turned in. The Tigers still managed to take a 35-30 lead at the break by outscoring the Big Red 10-0 from the free-throw line.

In the second half the Tigers heated up to 61.5 percent shooting, while the Big Red cooled to 34.8 percent shooting, as Princeton pulled away for the win.

Princeton outscored Cornell 40-30 in the paint and 19-9 in points off turnovers.
