March 6, 2008 – Despite the writer’s strike, FOX23 had incredible gains in primetime in February with American Idol leading the pack. American Idol was the number one show in primetime according to Tulsa’s Nielsen Rating Service from February 2008.
In addition, FOX23 News is up in all newscasts*. FOX23 News Daybreak is up 70% from 7-9am, Monday through Friday. FOX23 News at 5pm is up 6% and FOX23 News at 9pm, the #2 late newscast in the market. In the time period from 9-10pm, FOX23 News at 9pm is ranked 4th out of 25 primetime shows.

FOX23 was named the number one FOX affiliate in the country for prime time, according to the November 2007 Nielsen ratings book.
FOX23 News is also the fastest growing news station in Oklahoma. The station-launched Tulsa’s only hour-long 9:00 p.m. newscast in February 2002, added a half hour 5:30 p.m. newscast in June 2002 and a 5:00 p.m. newscast in 2003.
Weekdays, FOX23 News offers viewers seven hours of complete, local news with the latest Breaking News, Breaking Weather and Solving Problems stories.
FOX23 News launched the only live, local four-hour morning newscast on April 24, 2006. FOX23’s Daybreak morning news broadcasts weekdays from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
FOX23 also launched a one-hour noon broadcast on July 10, 2006. FOX23 offers viewer the most local coverage in the market.
