Tulsa, OK – (March 4, 2008) Jim Hanning was named Director of Sales of Clear Channel Television in Tulsa, which owns FOX23 and My41, on February 29, 2008.
Hanning was recruited to Clear Channel Television two years ago as the National Sales Manager for FOX23 and My41 and started handling national sales for KSAS and KMTW, Clear Channel’s FOX and My Network affiliate in Wichita, Kansas.
“I am very proud of Jim’s accomplishments. He is a consummate professional and his leadership within our sales organization has been exemplified with the success and growth of our stations,” said Holly Allen, VP/General Manager.
Hanning has worked in the television industry in Colorado, Arizona, North Carolina, Oregon and Michigan as a General Manager, Director of Sales, Local Sales Manager, National Sales Manager and Account Executive. Hanning and his wife Jennifer have two children Rolf, 13 years old and Jackie, 8 years old.
Hanning states, “It's a privilege to take over a sales staff at a station that's run so well.”
FOX23 was named the number one FOX affiliate in the country for prime time, according to the November 2007 Nielsen ratings book.
FOX23 News is also the fastest growing news station in Oklahoma. The station-launched Tulsa’s only hour-long 9:00 p.m. newscast in February 2002, added a half hour 5:30 p.m. newscast in June 2002 and a 5:00 p.m. newscast in 2003.
Weekdays, FOX23 News offers viewers seven hours of complete, local news with the latest Breaking News, Breaking Weather and Solving Problems stories. FOX23 News launched the only live, local four-hour morning newscast on April 24, 2006.
FOX23’s Daybreak morning news broadcasts weekdays from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. FOX23 also launched a one-hour noon broadcast on July 10, 2006. FOX23 offers viewer the most local coverage in the market.
