Tulsa, OK – (February 5, 2008)Meteorologist Paul Heggen is joining anchors Ann Sterling and Ron Terrell on Green Country’s fastest growing morning newscast, FOX23 Daybreak weekdays from 5am-9am.

Heggen has a master’s degree in meteorology from Texas A&M University. 

His master’s research at Texas A&M focused on lightning patterns within severe and tornadic thunderstorms.  So far in his career, he’s covered everything from tropical storms along the Gulf Coast to blizzards in the Upper Midwest to tornadoes in Oklahoma.

Heggen earned a bachelor’s degree in geography from the University of Denver. In 2002 he was awarded the American Meteorological Society’s Seal of Approval.  A Minnesota native, Heggen worked for stations in Beaumont, TX, Duluth, MN and Huntington, WV prior to becoming FOX23’s weekend meteorologist in December 2005.
