An award-winning news anchor and veteran reporter, Clay Loney brings a wealth of experience to FOX23 News. Alongside Chera Kimiko, Clay anchors FOX23’s highest-rated news hour, FOX23 News at 9:00pm, Monday through Friday, as well as FOX23 News at 5:00pm. Clay specializes in Breaking News coverage, and provides editorial guidance for a team of reporters. During more than two decades in television news, Clay has provided political coverage from Washington D.C. for CBS stations nationwide, served as Bureau Chief for CBS Florida, and specialized in military coverage. A graduate of the University of Texas in Austin with a Bachelor of Journalism degree, Clay’s work has earned him a prestigious Edward R. Murrow award for news writing, an Associated Press award for top Individual Achievement, and several Emmy nominations. Clay beams when he talks about the love of his life, his wife Grettel, and their four children, Ross, Erika, Bryant and Gracie. Clay enjoys playing the piano, hiking and photography.
