LONDON (AP) — Two al-Qaida-inspired extremists were sentenced on Wednesday in a London court for the hacking death of British soldier Lee Rigby last year on a city street.
Michael Adebolajo, 29, received a life sentence without parole, while his accomplice, Michael Adebowale, 22, was sentenced to life in prison with a minimum of 45 years in jail.
The men scuffled with guards and shouted at the judge moments before their sentences were read.
The judge called the attack "sickening and pitiless" and said Adebolajo had no hope of rehabilitation.
