Tulsa Police: DUI checkpoint numbers released

Updated:

Tulsa Police
TULSA, Okla. —

The Tulsa Police Department told FOX23 they would be holding a DUI Checkpoint on Memorial, between 41st Street and 81st Street on Friday night.

Our team spoke with TPD's Traffic Supervisor, Craig Murray, who said his officers stopped every 5th car and made: One DUI arrest, one misdemeanor warrant arrest, and one felony warrant arrest.

TPD's team also handed out a total of 97 tickets for various other things: one ticket for open container, and many other tickets were handed out for traffic violations like seatbelts, no license or insurance.

Another reason you may have been ticketed would be if you didn't have the proper equipment on your car, like headlights or a tag.
