Tulsa Police: Suspect wanted to "send a message", shoots at officers

  • Police arrested Darius Padillow late Tuesday night
  • He faces shooting with intent to kill charges, assault and battery with bodily fluids on police, burglary and more
  • Officers say a employee store asked officers to help get Padillow away, because he was banned from the store
  • As officers returned to their patrol car, they reported hearing several shots ring out
  • Padillow and another man allegedly ran off
  • When they caught up with him, officers say he admitted to shooting 10 times in efforts to "send a message"
