A Tulsa family waits for a 3-year-old to recover after storms uprooted a tree, sending it into their mobile home.
Penny Whitaker said her ex-husband called her Thursday night when the tree crashed into the living room, landing on 9, 7 and 3-year-old children.
The older children were able to get out; they tried to lift the tree off the 3-year-old.
They could not free the child, but the father and another family member freed him; he became responsive after his rescue.
The child is now in critical condition in the hospital; the family is waiting for updates from doctors after testing.
FOX23 remains in touch with the family as doctors work.
