TULSA, Okla. - Police said that a robber dressed like a mummy struck again Saturday.
FOX23 first told you about him last month when police said he robbed a midtown bank.
Saturday morning, officials said the same thief hit a check-cashing business near West 51st Street and Union Avenue.
Police said the man has gauze wrapped around his face and threatens employees with a bomb if they don’t give him money.
Officials said he walked into Everyone’s Cash late Saturday morning with a paper bag. An employee told police she saw wires coming out of the bag.
“Not too many people dress up like the mummy to go do robberies,” said Sgt. Brandon Watkins with Tulsa police.
Watkins said police are waiting to get a look at the most recent surveillance video but he is certain they are dealing with the same suspect.
“He has cased two banks or at least been seen in two banks, both on the west side,” Watkins said.
Police said that while he has stayed around west Tulsa, they believe he could make anywhere in town his next target.
“You got a guy with gauze on his head and hands and he’s limping around. Call police on that one,” Watkins said.
Watkins said that the quicker police know about a problem, the better chance they have to catch the suspect.
