• Student housing project part of downtown revitalization effort in Okmulgee

    OKMULGEE, Okla. - Quick facts:

    • Construction will wrap up this month for the OSU Institute of Technology's loft apartment project in Okmulgee.
    • The student housing project will house 75 students and is a major part of the city's downtown revitalization effort.
    • The lofts will be located in the Grand Ol' Post Office building, which dates back to 1918 and was Okmulgee's first post office.
    • An open house will be held at the new apartments November 28, and students will move in in January.
