Adair County authorities say a convicted killer who escaped from the county jail with another inmate is back in custody.
Sheriff David Hardin says inmates Carlos Locust and Michael Pack overpowered a jailer around 10:30 p.m. Sunday and escaped. The jailer suffered minor injuries.
Pack was recaptured about four hours later and taken back into custody. Locust turned himself in just before midnight Monday.
Hardin says sheriff's deputies as well as the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and the U.S. Marshals Service helped with the search for Locust.
