NORMAN, Okla. (AP) — Cleveland County prosecutors have charged a University of Oklahoma employee with first-degree arson in connection with several fires on campus.

Susan K. Lauterbach is accused of starting fires in the Chemistry Annex building on Sept. 8, Sept. 10 and Sept. 11.

In an affidavit, a campus police investigator wrote that the first fire was set inside a locked teaching assistant's closet; the second was inside a blue plastic paper-recycle container, and another blaze was set in a stairwell.

The investigator noted that Lauterbach was assigned to lab safety, but she believed she hadn't been included in building safety conversations, and felt underappreciated and undercompensated.

Attempts to reach Lauterbach's attorney Thursday night weren't successful.
