OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — U.S. Sen. Tom Coburn will host a series of town hall meetings across eastern Oklahoma next week.
The Muskogee Republican announced Wednesday that he would field questions and discuss various issues at six town hall-style forums beginning Monday in Tulsa.
He will host forums on Tuesday in Vinita, Grove and Claremore, followed by events next Wednesday in Poteau and McAlester.
Coburn drew criticism after a town hall meeting last year in Langley when describing his frustration with Congress he said he wished he could "pack a gun on the Senate floor."
Coburn's office quickly issued an apology on the senator's behalf, but Coburn himself told his critics to "get over it."
