BROKEN ARROW, Okla. - Hundreds of softball players and fans are in Broken Arrow this week for the U.S. AAA World Series and ASA World Series.

The game is what brought hundreds of players and their families to Broken Arrow but some area restaurants and hotels are getting a great boost from the tournaments that they depend on.

FOX23 learned that some hotels near Arrowhead Park are sold out or nearly full.

Teams coming in from as far as Tuscaloosa, Alabama, drove 600 miles for the tournament and have been spending their time and money in Broken Arrow businesses.

City officials said an exact figure on the economic impact won’t be available until later in the week. The tournament runs through the weekend.
