Driver dead after collision with semi near Drumright

One person is dead after a collision involving a semi near State Highway 99 and 33.

Police said a truck was traveling southbound from Oilton on Highway 99 when it collided with a semi.

They said the semi carrying hazmat material was turning in the truck bypass heading to go northbound when the truck ran into its trailer.

Officers said the driver of the truck died.

They are investigating the cause of the crash, but the driver of the truck went underneath the semi.

The semi driver was not injured.

Crews had to lift the entire trailer in order to get the truck driver's body out of the truck.
